Iran (IP) – On the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan, the people of Iran in Shiraz and Tabriz prayed and donated blood to get the blessing of God.

Iran PressIran News: The nineteenth, twenty-first, and twenty-third nights of the holy month of Ramadan are the nights of Qadr.

All over Iran, including Shiraz and Tabriz, were in black on the third night of Qadr, and the fasting people mourned the martyrdom of Imam Ali (as), the first Imam of the world's Shia Muslims.

It is believed to be the night when the Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the world and the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

On this night, people stay up and read the Quran and pray to God above. According to  Holy Quran, the angels and the spirit descend on this night by God's permission,  and this night is better than 1000 regular months of the year. The Muslims believe that during Qadr night, every man's destiny for the next year is determined.

The people of Tabriz, the capital of East Azarbaijan Province, attended the Imam Khomeini Mosalla, prayed, and attended the blood transfusion center located in Mosalla and donated blood.
