Quetta (IP) - A bomb blast near Girls School Square, Civil Hospital in Mastung, Balochistan province, Pakistan, claimed the lives of seven people, including three school children, on Friday morning.

Iran PressAsia: Fifteen people were injured in the explosion, with several in critical condition. Police and security personnel have cordoned off the area and are collecting evidence. Local authorities report that the injured are being transferred to Quetta after receiving initial treatment. Emergency protocols are now in place across hospitals, trauma centers, and other medical facilities.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti have strongly condemned the Mastung explosion, decrying the targeting of innocent children. Naqvi described the perpetrators as "beasts who play with the lives of innocent children," stating they deserve no leniency. Bugti echoed these sentiments, condemning the humanitarian act and highlighting the terrorists' targeting of both children and laborers.

According to sources in Quetta, five critically injured individuals have been transferred to Quetta Trauma Center following the explosion.
