Iran Press/ Europe: Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mohammad Taghi Amini, Iran's cultural attache in Italy, said: Nowruz is observed on 21 March in many countries including Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, R.Azerbaijan, Syria, Georgia, and Uzbekistan.
Yara Romanova, head of the press and cultural department of the Italian Embassy in Tehran, was another speaker at the ceremony.
Congratulating Nowruz on behalf of herself and ambassador Giuseppe Perrone, she introduced the cultural projects of the Italian embassy, including the visit of the Italian ambassador to Tehran to Parseh and archeological cooperation between the two countries.
Professor Stefano Pellò, Professor of Persian Language and Literature at Cà Foscari University in Venice, was among the other speakers.
Broadcasting music concerts in different parts of Iran, Nowruz photography, workshops on Iranian cuisine and tourism destinations, and webinars on Nowruz and Iranian studies are various sections of the festival.
