Nigeria (IP) - Muslims in Maraban, Abuja, gathered at Fudiyya Maraba, where they spent the night while mourning to commemorate the martyrdom of the late Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, and his colleagues who were martyred, too.

Iran PressAfrica: Ebrahim Raisi, Hojjatul-Islam Ale-Hashem Friday Prayers Imam of Tabriz, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malek Rahmati, General Governor of East Azarbaijan, pilot, co-pilot, crew chief, head of the security team and one of the bodyguards and several other companions were on board on way from Tabriz, northwestern Iran, to Tehran when their helicopter crashed on Sunday and all martyred along the president. President Rais and his colleagues were returning from the opening ceremony of an Iranian-Azerbaijani join dam project. 

In Kano State, Sheikh Sunusi Abdulqadir Koki led Islamic scholars, students, and other different classes of people in mourning activities in the ancient city of Northwestern Nigeria.

Still, in Katsina State, hundreds of mourners have converged at Markaz Islamic Center in Katsina City, listening to Sheikh Yaqoub Yahaya Katsina who spoke about how President Raisi and his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian who sacrificed themselves for the sake of religion and humanity.

In the Potiskum City of Yobe State, Hojjatul Islam, Sheikh Salisu Galadima, and Malam Bala Afuwa led the mourning prayers and lectures at the Islamic Movement center in the Northeastern State.
