Thousands of Nigerian Muslims have converged at Fagge Juma'a mosque in Kano State to pray for the assistance of Almighty God to the Axis of Resistance against arrogant world powers the U.S. and Israel, who are trying all their best to set the world on fire by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities.

Why it matters:
Amid growing tension across the globe and fear of World War 3, world countries on the other side, such as Russia, warn of an ‘irreversible global catastrophe’ if the U.S. attacks Iran. The warnings are coming after U.S. president Donald Trump ratcheted up the threat, saying if Iran did not return to the table, “there will be bombing." At the same time, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, responded that any American attack would receive “a strong reciprocal blow."

The big picture:
During the prayer at the Friday mosque in the ancient commercial city of Kano, Muslims recited the holy Qur'an and other supplications, praying for Allah's intervention for Iran.

What he's saying:
Sheikh Malam Kurna, a senior Islamic cleric who led the prayer gathering, said that Iran is the only hope that remains to Muslims and all oppressed people in the world. He emphasized that it is mandatory upon all Muslims and Christians around the world to pray and support the Islamic Republic of Iran and other members of the resistance front financially, militarily, and also with prayers.

Key points:

  • Thousands of Nigerian Muslims converged at the mosque to pray for the Axis of Resistance.
  • They also vow to stand with Iran and the Axis of Resistance in all situations.
