Tehran (IP)- The Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Majid Chegini, stated: "Currently, we have no intention to export gas to Europe, and if a new gas export contract is agreed upon, we will honor it."

The CEO of the National Gas Company stated that the gas export contract to Iraq has been extended for another five years. Additionally, negotiations are underway with Turkey to extend the contract. A joint working group has been formed for this purpose, and the matter is being pursued seriously.

Chegini emphasized that Armenia is requesting more gas from Iran, and negotiations are ongoing. Furthermore, Pakistan has announced its intention to revive the gas contract with Iran, and negotiations between the two countries have taken place in the past few months. 219
