Iran Press/ Iran news: The Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Majid Chegini also about the plans to increase gas exports, said: "We fulfill international obligations and if new contracts are signed, exports will naturally increase, but we are currently fulfilling the existing contracts."
The CEO of the National Gas Company stated that the gas export contract to Iraq has been extended for another five years. Additionally, negotiations are underway with Turkey to extend the contract. A joint working group has been formed for this purpose, and the matter is being pursued seriously.
Chegini emphasized that Armenia is requesting more gas from Iran, and negotiations are ongoing. Furthermore, Pakistan has announced its intention to revive the gas contract with Iran, and negotiations between the two countries have taken place in the past few months. 219
