Beirut (IP) - Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said: "Netanyahu has resorted to portraying the Resistance ongoing in the West Bank as a part of an Iranian plan. He, and those who believe this, forget that the Palestinians have been fighting this enemy for 75 years."

Iran PressMiddle East: Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech on the occasion of the second liberation.

"One cannot forget the typical division in the Lebanese public and political arena at that time. Some political parties/figures not only voiced support for these groups but even supported them financially and it countless means," Nasrallah said.

Speaking on the second liberation he said: "The 1st stage was the liberation of Qusayr, the 2nd stage, was the liberation of the Qalamoun, and the 3rd stage, was the liberation of the Zabadani. The importance of the 2nd and 3rd stages lies in completely wiping out all the points that acted as sources for the explosive car."

"The fourth stage consisted of liberating the remaining lands until we were able to retrieve all Lebanese land. These battles were fought alongside the Syrian and Lebanese armies," said Nasrallah.

"Some people only focus on the disarmament of the Resistance. However, this victory, this liberation, was made possible due to the strategies and weapons of the Resistance," the SG. highlighted.

Talking about Palestine he said: "Resistance in Palestine against the Zionist occupation was taking place long before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. In the midst of the trouble he is facing, Netanyahu has resorted to portraying the Resistance ongoing in the West Bank as a part of an Iranian plan. He, and those who believe this, "forget" that the Palestinians have been fighting this enemy for 75 years."

"The Resistance in the West Bank is the result of a pure Palestinian will to resist. The enemy must admit that they are facing a historic existential crisis, which they will not find a way out from," he underscored.

"The enemy has been carrying out assassinations against our leaders since the very beginning. This never broke our spirits. If anything, these assassinations only lift our spirits and our will to fight and resist," Nasrallah noted, adding: "The enemy must be very cautious: any assassination attempt in Lebanon will be responded to very strictly, firmly, and surely. We will not allow the Lebanese front to be open again for assassinations."

"This will be true whether the assassination was against a Lebanese, Palestinian, Iranian...anyone. We will not allow for the rules of combat against the enemy to be altered, and the enemy must understand this very well," he added.

"I must also mention the Palestinian prisoners who are often forgotten. We must also voice our support for the political prisoners in Bahrain," Nasrallah reminded.
