Tehran (IP) - The Chief Commander of the Iranian Navy said that Iran maintains its maritime economic security over 2,000 kilometers beyond its sea borders.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani stated that Iran aims to improve the level of maritime stability and increase its presence range, along with maintaining economic security, defense, and naval diplomacy and strengthening its naval vessels.

Rear Admiral Irani told Iran Press that escorting ships was carried out directly and indirectly.

The Iranian Navy Commander also reported the dispatch of the 83rd fleet of the Navy, which includes the Alvand destroyer and said that it is escorting two tankers to the Suez Canal.

He recalled that according to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's order, the Navy is determined to increase its presence in the ocean in terms of distance and presence.
