Iran Press/Iran news: The top commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi added that a 955-Ghadir submarine, and a next-generation Fateh-class strategic submarine, and a domestically-manufactured Sahand destroyer will also join the southern naval fleet.
Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi made the remarks at Tehran's Friday Prayers, a day after two Ghadir-class submarines capable of launching subsurface-to-surface missiles, torpedoes and mines were commissioned by the Iranian Navy, according to an Iran Press report.
Rear Admiral Khanzadi added: "Dena-class destroyers and another Jamaran-class destroyer will be upgraded in a few months and join the naval fleet."
On 29 November, commander of Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said that two Ghadir-class submarines capable of launching subsurface-to-surface missiles, torpedoes and mines have joined Iran's naval fleet.

Ghadir-class submarines are designed to cruise within the shallow waters of the Persian Gulf to ensure peace and security of Iran's maritime borders.
Iran has so far launched different classes of domestically-built advanced submarines including Ghadir, Qaem, Nahang, Tareq and Sina.
