The top commander of the Iranian Navy on Tuesday stressed that the Navy is totally self-sufficient in production of naval defense equipment, including manufacture of surface and sub-surface vessels,

Iran News: According to an Iran Press report, referring to building Jamaran destroyer in 2010, Rear-Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, speaking at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in south Tehran said: "The fact that we are self-sufficient shows that sanctions have had no effects and we have broken them".

 at a special ceremony renewing the allegiance of  navy personnel with the ideals of the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace).

Rear-Admiral Khanzadi added: "Iran's warship left the coastal waters for international ones, adding that there are no limits for construction of naval vessels, warships, and equipment."

The top commander of the Iranian Navy said three more destroyers, named "Sahand", "Dena" and transformed destroyer of "Davamand" will be added to the naval fleet by April 2019.

Saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran has also become self-sufficient in the field of manufacturing submarines, Rear-Admiral Khanzadi announced that "Soon, after the addition of the "Sahand" destroyer to the naval fleet, a new generation of submarines called "Fateh", will be commissioned by the Navy."

Rear-Admiral Khanzadi and other top navy and army commanders and personnel, renewed their allegiance with the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini on the eve of November 28, the national navy day.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, last year at the meeting with the commanders and officials of the navy, pointed out the importance of the navy. The Leader said the navy is at the forefront of Iran's defenses, urging the presence of the naval fleet in the High Seas and international waters. 208/103
