Iran's government spokesperson declared that, based on the fatwa by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the country has never sought nuclear weapons, emphasizing that its nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes.

Why it matters:

Iran's ethical and religious commitment to international treaties, including NPT, positions it as a strategy for regional and global peace. These are the Israeli nuclear warheads that threaten the peace and security of the region.

What we're hearing:

Fatemeh Mohajerani told Iran Press in response to the IAEA’s latest report citing Israel’s claims: “Based on the Leader’s fatwa, unpeaceful nuclear activities are a red line for us. We possess advanced missile technology and are open about it, but we are not pursuing nuclear weapons, and the world should know this."
