Iran Press/ Iran News: The ceremony, held in Tehran, was attended by Health Minister Saeed Namaki, Tehran Mayor Pirooz Hanachi, and ambassadors and representatives of 28 countries.
In the ceremony, some medical staff was honored under the title of "health defenders" and the Pahlevani and zoorkhaneh rituals were held.
At the end of the ceremony, Salar Aghili and Iran's National Orchestra sang some pieces of songs which were welcomed.
National Flag Day ceremony held on the occasion of the 12th of Farvardin (April 1) which is the day of the establishment of the holy Islamic Republic with the decisive vote of the Iranian people and the strong will that officially ended the rule of the Great Satan, the world-devouring USA".
Farvardin 12 is the Day of the Islamic Republic.
In February 1979, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (PBUH) returned to Iran after 15 years in exile and led the campaign to overthrow the Shah of Iran.
Two months later, the new government held a referendum on establishing the Islamic Republic based on a new constitution replacing the Persian monarchy that had ruled for 2,500 years.
On April 1, 1979 (12 Farvardin 1358 AH in Persian Calendar), with an excellent commitment, at the call of its wise leader, Great Founder of the Islamic Revolution Late Imam Khomeini, with the conscious presence and unique votes of 98%, it chose the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran to run the country and registered the day of the manifestation of the nation's resolution in establishing the Islamic Revolution in the history of Iran.
