Caracas (IP) - As President Nicolas Maduro's inauguration approaches, unknown events may occur in Venezuela due to Washington's constant interference.

Iran Press/America: The ouster of the President of Guatemala in 1954, the coup in Chile, financial aid to the opposition in Nicaragua, support for the Bolivian rebels, creating chaos in Ecuador, comprehensive sanctions on Cuba, and the attempt to overthrow Chavez and the Bolivarian People's Revolution in Venezuela are only a small part of Washington's interference in the internal affairs of Latin American countries.

Daniel Perez, a professor at the University of Caracas, says that plundering rich oil and mining resources, controlling crucial passages and waterways such as the Panama Canal, suppressing freedom-loving and independence-seeking governments and people, and plundering wealth and assets are the constant goals of US governments in this region.

Now here in Venezuela, after the presidential elections and the re-election of Nicolas Maduro, the United States and its European allies are trying to disrupt and create chaos at the inauguration of the elected president by supporting the defeated candidate who fled to Spain.

Edmundo Gonzalez, the defeated candidate and leader of the Venezuelan opposition, says, "I came to the United States from Spain and we had long meetings with Biden and Trump. I will go to Venezuela and take power as president."

Maduro's inauguration will be held on Friday, January 10, in Caracas, and it seems that with the US government's plans for Venezuela, the country will again witness uncertain events in the coming days.
