Beirut (IP) - Media sources reported the destruction of 15 Israeli spy networks in Lebanon.

Iran PressMiddle East: After the 33-day war in 2006, which resulted in the heavy defeat of Israel by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Israeli military and intelligence agents increased their security and intelligence activities in the country.

The Israeli agents, drones, and bombers have repeatedly entered Lebanese territory with the aim of spying.

Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Monday that the intelligence branch of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces destroyed 15 Israeli spy networks, each operating separately in different parts of Lebanon to Syria.

This security operation was carried out four weeks ago and after the coordination of the intelligence branch with the command of the internal security forces.

About two months ago, an officer from the Lebanese Internal Security Forces Intelligence Service said that after pursuing a person suspected of conducting security operations in the country, they found out that he was connected to the Israeli enemy.

The Lebanese Internal Security Forces Intelligence Service launched the largest operation in its history against Israeli spy networks, and within four weeks, was able to obtain cases involving dozens of suspects who directly or indirectly collaborated with the Israeli enemy.

This information shows that the purpose of the spies is not merely to gather information about the resistance in Lebanon and its positions; They have also sought to spy on Palestinian resistance groups in Lebanon, particularly Hamas.
