Iran Press- Middle East/ The Axis of Resistance refers to an alliance between Iran, Syria, and the Lebanese Hezbollah formed to stand against the US-Israeli aggressive policies.
In its message to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei which was released on Saturday night, Hezbollah extended condolences over the bloody attack in the city of Ahvaz in Iran's Khuzestan Province.
Behind this terrorist act there are evil hands aiming to blow the security and stability of Iran and to punish it due to its commitment to full sovereignty and its opposition to follow US, the statement reads.
Ahvaz terrorist attack is another form of direct or proxy wars waged by the US and its allies against Iran which climax with sanctions and economic blockade, it added.
The recent attack will not affect Iran's determination in supporting Resistance movements, Palestinians and other oppressed nations in the world, Hezbollah reiterated.
At least 25 people were killed and more than 60 others injured during Saturday morning's terror attack in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province.
“The terrorists disguised as the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Baseej (volunteer) forces opened fire at the authorities and people from behind the stand during the parade,' Governor of Khuzestan Gholam-Reza Shariati said.
The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaziyeh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
