Iran Press/ Europe: There have been six rounds of peace talks between Kyiv and Moscow since the start of the conflict to establish a ceasefire and reach an agreement meeting the two sides' demands, which has so far been fruitless.
"Russia has made clear the objectives of its operation in Ukraine and we want these terms to be confirmed in the agreement with Ukraine," Lavrov told a news conference with the Arab League delegation.
"It is too early to say whether Ukraine's realistic approach to the talks will turn into a formal agreement," he said.
The Russian Foreign Minister also added: "We are doing our best to prove that the news about the events in Bucha is misleading and conspiracy."
He continued: "The UK has once again stopped convening a UN Security Council meeting on Bucha."
Following the withdrawal of Russian troops from the vicinity of Kyiv, Western media on Sunday published images of the city of Bucha near Kyiv claiming that Russian forces had fired on civilians as they were leaving the Ukrainian capital.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold a meeting with a delegation of the Arab League Contact Group on Ukraine. The delegation will comprise the Arab League secretary-general and the foreign ministers of Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Sudan. The organization is ready to facilitate efforts to find a political settlement between Russia and Ukraine, which is the reason for its visit to Moscow. 219
