Iran Press/ Europe: The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Lavrov received Griffiths on Friday, where they discussed “urgent issues on the international humanitarian agenda, including the situations in Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Ethiopia, Venezuela and Ukraine.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two sides stressed the importance of providing assistance to all those in need without any political preconditions and on humanitarian grounds.
The two sides also indicated their “determination to continue and develop cooperation with the relevant agencies of the United Nations in the interest of achieving effective solutions to vital humanitarian tasks and supporting stability and security in various regions of the world.” 219
