Tehran (IP) - The candidate for Iran's 13th presidential election stresses the development of the petrochemical market as the next government's plan to gain revenue from the regional and neighboring countries.

Iran PressIran News: Saeed Jalili, on Sunday after his TV election campaign at IRIB, told reporters that the market for downstream petrochemical products in the region is about $135 billion.

Jalili stated that if Iran achieves only 10% of the market for downstream petrochemical products in the West Asian region, it will earn about $15 billion of revenue.

He put emphasis on avoiding the selling of just crude oil and said when crude oil turned into petroleum products, its added value would increase and play an important role in creating employment.

The candidate for Iran's 13th presidential election said that a plan was needed to leap the currency and employment areas, and one of the most important factors to reach the goal was to prevent selling raw materials.
