Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Marandi tweeted: "Iran has responded as promised. It's time for the Biden team to make a serious decision.
"For the US, "constructive" usually means accepting US terms, for Iran, it means a deal that is balanced and protected," the adviser to Iran's negotiating team noted.
Moreover, the tweet reads: "If the US makes the right decision, an agreement can be swiftly concluded."
The initial nuclear deal signed in 2015 by Iran, the US, UK, France, and Germany – as well as Russia, China, and the EU – involved Tehran agreeing to certain restrictions on its nuclear industry in exchange for easing economic sanctions and other incentives.
In 2018, however, it was torpedoed by the US under then-President Donald Trump, who withdrew from the agreement unilaterally, saying it was fundamentally flawed. As a result, Iran started gradually reducing some of its commitments under the agreement, such as the level of enriched uranium it produces, which could potentially enable Tehran to build an atomic bomb.

According to the Iranian authorities, however, this "is not on the agenda." The new round of negotiations to lift US sanctions against Iran started on August 4 in Vienna and ended on August 8. In this round of negotiations, several proposals were made by Enrique Mora, the coordinator of the European Union, in the Vienna talks.
Iran has recently responded to the Western countries' proposals regarding the revival of the JCPOA to Joseph Burrell, the European Union's foreign policy official, so that he could convey the response to Washington. The United States announced that it had received Iran's response, but the response was not constructive.
"We can confirm that we have received Iran's response through the EU," State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said late Thursday in Washington.
"We are studying it and will respond through the EU, but unfortunately it is not constructive," the spokesman noted.
