Iran Press/ Middle East: Israeli forces stormed and attacked the worshipers with sound bombs, bullets, and tear gas, and arrested dozens of Palestinians.
Firas Al-Jabrini, the head of the Wadi Halwa information center in Al-Quds, said that about 400 Palestinians were arrested during the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Videos from inside the mosque also show the destruction of a part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Israeli military attack on this religious place.
Meanwhile, Palestinian youths demonstrated in support of the al-Aqsa Mosque at night in different areas of occupied Al-Quds and clashed with Israeli soldiers.
The raid at Al-Aqsa started around 10 pm local time when police officers were first spotted entering the site.
Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), called what is happening in the Al-Aqsa Mosque an "unprecedented crime" and called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the territories occupied in 1948 to go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and protect it from the attack.
Ziad Al-Nakhleh, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, also termed what happened in Al-Aqsa Mosque as a serious threat to Palestinian and Islamic sanctities.
Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in response to Israel's attacks: "This action of the usurping Zionist regime has once again shown the regime's criminal and anti-human rights nature."
While condemning it, Kanaani demanded an "immediate reaction of the Islamic world, the free people of the world, and relevant international institutions."
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said it received multiple reports of injuries at Al-Aqsa Mosque but has not been able to estimate the number of casualties as Israeli forces continue to block medics from reaching the wounded.
Local media said dozens were wounded and the injuries have included bruises, fractures, and breathlessness from inhaling tear gas.
