Iran Press/ Middle East: Following the martyrdom of the Palestinian captive Sheikh Khader Adnan in the Israeli prisons, Resistance forces in Gaza fired dozens of missiles at Israeli positions around the strip on Tuesday evening which was responded to by the regime.
A joint statement by factions in Gaza on Tuesday, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, said the rocket fire was an “initial response” to Adnan’s death.
The Israeli military said at least 30 rockets were fired from Gaza. Two landed in the small Israeli city of Sderot just east of Gaza.
Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service said three people were wounded by shrapnel in the Sderot area.
Palestine's Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that Hashem Mubarak, a 58-year-old man lost his life during the Israeli fighter jets' attack on Gaza.
It reported that 5 other people were injured during the attacks, along with extensive material damage.
Sheikh Khader Adnan, one of the leaders and senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ), was martyred in the prison of the Israeli regime after 86 days of hunger strike.
Since 1948, the West-backed Israeli regime has been arresting, kidnapping, injuring, and killing the Palestinian people, destroying their homes and farms.
