Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at the ceremony, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the parliament supports the assignment of the Minister of Sports to come to work. He continued: "Public institutions and people should try so that public sports are taken seriously. Also in the seventh development plan, our audience is the family."
He stated: "We pay attention to the culture, health, economy, and sports in the 7th development plan and we must try to bring the private and public sector into the sports sector."
Pointing out that there is no doubt that sports have a deep connection with social, cultural, and economic issues, he said: "Today, countries whose sports are growing or at their peak, their economy is at the peak too."
In this ceremony, which was attended by Kiumarth Hashemi, the head of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and Alireza Dabir, the head of the wrestling federation, the medal winners of the national freestyle wrestling teams were also honored.
Public sports development focused on Iran's 7th development plan
Referring to the importance of public sports in the 7th development plan, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament said that development of public sports is addressed and focused in the seventh plan
Qalibaf said: "Today is the birthday of Takhti as a brave and the one who cared about people' s problems, who remained in history and today is named after him. We are among the teenagers and adults of wrestling in the country."
Honoring the memory of the wrestling martyrs, he added: "There is no doubt that sport has a deep connection with social, cultural and economic issues, and the countries whose sports are growing or at their peak are also growing or at their peak from an economic point of view."
Referring to the high population of Iranian youth, he stated: "Unfortunately, this important and vital window of Opportunity in Iran is being lost, and it is necessary to make maximum use of the remaining opportunity and consider a diverse program for the use of the Iranian talented youth."
Qalibaf called all the efforts of the authorities to pay attention to sports in the public, educational, professional, and championship sectors and said: "If we as managers pay attention to different aspects of sports, we will save money in many other sectors and create important honors in this dimension as well."
He continued: "Skill training and education of children is very important in education, which should be addressed in schools in the basic field of sports, and coordination between education and sports is very important for the future of the country."
The Speaker of Iran's parliament stressed the importance of public sports and said: In public sports, the audience is the family, and in the seventh development plan, the family should be considered as a macro policy in the country's culture and sports.
