Iran Press/ Asia: In their demonstrations on Tuesday, the Afghan people stressed that the US act of confiscating their money was against international law.
US President Joe Biden signed a decree on February 11, releasing $ 7 billion of the Central Bank of Afghanistan reserves.
Under the decree, $ 3.5 billion will be given to the families of 9/11 victims, and another $ 3.5 billion also will be spent on humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.
The demonstrators also demanded the release of Afghan assets by the US government.
They highlighted the dire conditions of the Afghan people and that the Biden administration's act was oppressive.
Earlier, Mohammad Naeem, the spokesman for the Taliban's Qatar-based political bureau, showed reaction to the US allocation of the Afghans' money to 9/11 victims and said that the US' stealing the blocked money of the Afghan people showed the moral decay of the US and its nation.
Many people are suffering from starvation in Afghanistan these days.
