Iran Press/Middle East: The IRGC' Quds Force late Commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and the Deputy Head of Iraq’s anti-terror Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis along with eight other companions were assassinated by US airstrikes at Baghdad airport on Friday morning, January 3, 2020. Pentagon said in a statement that US President Donald Trump has ordered the attack.
Earlier, the Iraqi people and other lovers of Lt Gen Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis attended the assassination site of the two senior commanders of the resistance front near Baghdad Airport, lighting candles to honor their memory.
