Tehran (IP) - Iranian people from different walks of life celebrated the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir in different parts of Iran on Thursday evening.

Iran PressIran News: Friday, July 6, coincided with Dhu al-Hijja 18, is Eid al-Ghadir, when the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) introduced Imam Ali (AS) as his successor to be the Calipha and Imam (leader) of Muslims, Amir ul-Mumeneen. 

Today evening in Iran, people took part in street celebrations to commemorate and honor the occasion, with maddahs chanting eulogies for Imam Ali (AS), and teenagers singing songs in vocal groups for the occasion.
