The day is particularly cherished by Zoroastrians in Iran and is observed on the closest Friday to the Tirgan Festival, which falls on the 13th day of the fourth Iranian calendar month of Tir, coinciding with July 4 this year.

Ranked as the 12th most prominent peak globally and the second most prominent in Asia, surpassed only by Mount Everest, Mount Damavand is an integral part of the Volcanic Seven Summits mountaineering challenge, drawing climbers from around the world seeking to conquer its breathtaking heights.
