Iran Press/Asia: Shirsefat overcame karatekas from Indonesia and Malaysia to reach the finals and snatch the gold medal in Asia.
The event held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, hosted 559 karatekas from 30 countries; Iran's karate team participated in the competitions with 41 karate kas, both male and female.
