Tehran (IP)- The Asian Snooker Championship, which began on June 17 and will run until June 25, 2023, saw Iranian snooker players clinch seven victories.

Iran PressIran News: The team snooker competition for under-21s was hosted by Iran and kicked off on Saturday with Iranian athletes securing seven wins on the first day. In Group A, Iran defeated Kuwait 3-0 but lost to Bahrain with a score of 3-2.

In Group B, the Iran 1 team initially lost to Hong Kong with a score of 3-1 but bounced back to defeat the Indian 2 team with the same score.

In the U-2 category, Arshiya Khazeni lost to Indian and Iraqi snooker players with scores of 3-0 and 3-1 respectively but managed to secure a win against Hong Kong's representative with a score of 3-1. In Group B, Ali Allah-Ghani defeated Arshiya Tehrani with a score of 3-2 while Tehrani lost to Ehsan Ramezan from Pakistan in the second game with a score of 3-0.

In Group C, Shahin Sabzi won against Malaysia's representative with a score of three to one but then lost to India and Hong Kong's representatives.

Milad Pourali Derechi from Iran secured a win against India's representative with a score of three to one but lost the game against Malaysia's representative.
