Iran Press/Iran News: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, continued his diplomatic consultations on International Quds Day and exchanged views with the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdallah Bou Habib.
In a call with his Lebanese counterpart, the Foreign Minister condemned the Zionist regime's actions in killing and insulting the worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and, referring to his consultations with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, called for a serious investigation into the Zionist regime's recent crimes.
Referring to Lebanon's presence on the front lines of the resistance, Amir-Abdollahian praised the Lebanese people, resistance, and army against the occupying regime.

While wishing the successful holding of upcoming elections in Lebanon, the Iranian top diplomat stressed Tehran's readiness for the comprehensive development of relations with Lebanon and added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the development of Lebanese relations in all fields."
He also called Lebanon's role in the Arab world important.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, for his part, congratulated Eid al-Fitr, stressing the importance of developing friendly relations with Iran and expressing hope that the exchange of diplomatic missions between the two countries would expand after the parliamentary elections.
Abdallah Bou Habib strongly condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and called for the unity of the Islamic world in support of Palestine and the protection of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The two sides also exchanged views on other issues related to bilateral cooperation and regional and international issues.
