Iran Press/ Iran News: Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, was shot and seriously wounded while giving a speech in the city of Nara, west of this country, and died in the hospital.
Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot when he was giving a campaign speech to the public in an election campaign in the city of Nara.
In two posts in Persian and Japanese on his Twitter account on Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian extended his condolences to the people and government of Japan.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian top diplomat said: "We condemn the assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and offer condolences to the friendly people and government of Japan over his departure."
He added that the precious services of Mr. Abe, as a prominent politician, including the expansion of ties between the people of Japan and Iran, will not be forgotten. 219
