Tehran (IP) - Iranian cyclist successfully scaled the 5,137-meter-high Mount Ararat located in Türkiye.

Iran PressAsia: Omid Najafi, an Iranian cyclist, completed a grueling climb through glaciers and snow that took him 33 hours. 

"Last year, with the help of God, I set a new record for climbing Mount Damavand, known as the roof of Iran, and this year, I managed to climb it with a bicycle in 33 hours despite the presence of glaciers and snow on the way," Najafi said.

Najafi attributed his success to his rigorous training.

By bicycle, he has climbed numerous high mountains such as Shahwar, Shah Jahan, Gav Koshan, Shirbad Peaks, Semnan Province, North Khorasan Province, Golestan Province, and Binalud Mountains.
