Sarajevo(IP)- An exhibition of Iranian artists named "Srebrenica; A Living Truth" has been set up on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Srebrenica Muslim Genocide, in the Farhadiye Gallery in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Iran PressEurope:  According to Iranpress, a number of the families of the victims of the Bosnian Muslim genocide and the Islamic Republic of Iran's cultural adviser on Saturday at the opening ceremony of the exhibition of Iranian artists named "Srebrenica; An eternal truth" were present.

Mohammad Hossein Ansari, Iran's cultural attaché in Bosnia-Herzegovina, said: "The purpose of holding this exhibition is to express sympathy with the suffering people of Bosnia-Herzegovina, to convey the message of peace and friendship of the Iranian nation, and to keep alive the memory of the martyrs of the great tragedy of the genocide of Muslims in Srebrenica in order to prevent similar tragedies.

About 20 graphic designs by Iranian artists in the " Srebrenica " exhibition, An Everlasting Truth" with the theme of Muslim Genocide have been displayed as a sign of solidarity between the Iranian people and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressing sympathy with the survivors of this great tragedy.

The exhibition of Iranian artists named " Srebrenica; An Everlasting Truth" continues until July 20, 2023, at Farhadiyeh Gallery in Sarajevo.

After the occupation of the city of Srebrenica by the Serbs under the command of Ratko Mladić on July 11, 1995, more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslims were massacred in front of the eyes of the international community while taking refuge with the Dutch forces attached to the UN peacekeeping forces.
