Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at his weekly presser on Monday morning, the Spokesman of Iran' s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani while referring to the latest developments in Palestine called them important and said: "Some who have been supporting Israel's daily crimes are trying to change the place of the oppressor and the oppressed in the recent developments, and regardless of the 75-year-old humiliation of the Palestinian nation, they have stood by the oppressor in recent developments. And they raise allegations against the Palestinian nation and resistance, which are not acceptable."
Nasser Kanaani further stated: "The fact that the Western governments and the United States continue to use their heavy propaganda and psychological warfare against the Palestinian nation to put the oppressor in the place of the oppressed and support it. it is unacceptable that some governments turn a blind eye to the oppression of Israel and expose the oppressed nation to accusations."
"Fortunately, we see the support of a number of countries in the world, including Islamic countries, for the Palestinian nation, " Kanaani added.
"In their statements, the extremist government of the Israeli regime committed crimes against the Palestinian nation, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are addressed by the governments and nations,"he said.
He further noted: "Iran has always had a clear and firm position towards the Palestinian nation, and the president and the foreign minister announced their clear and transparent positions."
Iran's top diplomat also went on to refer to the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and said: "The organization's duty is to support the Palestinian nation, and holding the meeting of this organization will help Islamic countries use their domestic and international capacities for political and international legal support of the Palestinian nation."
Azerbaijan embassy in Tehran resume activities soon
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "There is a consensus that within the framework of
talks, the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran can start its activities soon."
Kanaani, in response to the question of the Iran Press reporter, added: "Within the framework of joint military and defense cooperation and constructive meetings between the two countries, Iran and Azerbaijan will hold a joint military exercise in the Caspian Sea."
While referring to the visit of the special assistant of President of Azerbaijan to Iran, Kanaani emphasized: "Various political issues and recent developments of Caucasuswere discussed and good consultations were held regarding these developments."
He noted: "Iran is ready to help Azerbaijan and Armenia in this regard."
US, opposition media trying to relate Iran to Palestine's development
The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said accusations against the country to connect it to the developments in Palestine aim at justifying the heavy defeat inflicted on Israel.
Kanaani told reporters that the Palestinian resistance now has reached a point to defend itself and try to get its lost rights.
He said that the attempts being made to connect Iran to what has happened in Palestine aim to restore the Israeli regime's broken hegemony and to justify the support of the West, including the US, for the regime and also to justify the regime's adventurism against the Palestinian nation.
There is no distinction between 75 years of crimes against Palestine and the international responsibilities of the US, UK, and some other Western states, Kanaani noted and recalled that the recent attack of the Palestinian resistance was a response to the Israeli regime's daily crimes against the Palestinian people.
He reiterated that the West's accusations against Iran and Lebanon's Hezbollah do in no way reduce the international responsibilities of the US and the UK in their complicity with the Israeli regime's crimes.
The Palestinian resistance front announced in response to the US' dispatching strike carries to the region that the action is the actual participation of the US in the invasion of the Palestinian nation.
The US is the first ally of the Israeli regime, and its regular sending of American weapons mingled with annual financial support for the regime, along with other assistance the US is supposed to offer, all indicate the direct role of the American government in supporting Israel, Iran's MFA spokesman said.
Iran welcomes Afghan citizens
Regarding the presence of Afghan citizens in Iran Kanaani said: "From a human perspective, we consider ourselves responsible and committed to the conditions of these people."
Iran-Iraq security agreement
Regarding the latest status of the Iran-Iraq security agreement, kanaani said: "Exchanges have been carried out and, based on reports, effective steps have been taken, including headquarters of terrorist and separatist groups."
