Raisi:

Samarkand(IP)- The President of Iran said that the country and Uzbekistan's relations are based on historical ties and shared beliefs, and the two countries have planned to improve cooperation as much as possible.

Iran PressAsia: Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, traveled to Uzbekistan on Wednesday at the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shaukat Mirzayev, at the head of a high-level political and economic delegation, for an official bilateral meeting and also to participate in the 22nd Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Raisi, while attending the Ahl al-Bayt Mosque of Rasoolullah (PBUH) on Thursday evening, referred to his meeting with the President of Uzbekistan the previous day and stated: "The relations between Iran and Uzbekistan are based on historical relations, common beliefs and beliefs of the two nations, and the two countries have planned to develop relations with each other as much as possible."

Addressing the group of worshippers, Raisi explained the different dimensions of this unique global community while condoling the days of Arbaeen Hosseini (AS) and got acquainted with the cultural and religious activities of the Ahlul Bayt Mosque of the Prophet (PBUH) in the city of Samarkand.

Raisi spoke about the necessity of unity among Muslims in today's global situation and noted: "Muslims, like Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), who themselves were a symbol of unity and cohesion, should be sympathetic and united and confront those who stand against Islam and kill Muslims."
