Iran to expand cooperation with Afghanistan, Uzbekistan: Min.

Tehran (IP) - Minister of Road and Urban Development stated Iran intends to improve its ties with Afghanistan and Uzbekistan mainly on transport, transit, and trading.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at a trilateral video meeting between Iran, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan on Wednesday, the Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami stated while the whole world is grappling with the coronavirus, cooperation is required differently.

Eslami added that establishing a trilateral committee can enhance road transport networks, adding Iran has long-lasting historical and cultural ties with the two countries.

The Iranian official went on to say that Iran is willing to enhance and boost the infrastructures between the three states aiming at increasing exported and imported product quality.

Eslami expressed hope that the coronavirus outbreak would not weaken future ties.
