Iran, Tajikistan to boost cooperation on electricity

Dushanbe (IP): Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan agreed on connecting the two countries' electricity networks.

Iran Press/ Asia: The 14th meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic, Trade, Scientific, Cultural, Technical and Social Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan was held on Monday and Tuesday co-chaired by Iran and Tajikistan's Ministers of Energy in Dushanbe. ‌

At the end of the meeting, Reza Ardakanian, Minister of Energy and Co-Chairman of Iran-Tajikistan Joint Commission, and Daler Juma, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, signed the final document of the 14th session of the Joint Commission and expressed hope that the document would lead to developing the bilateral relations.

"Reza Ardakanian" in this meeting, referring to the commonalities and capacities provided in the two countries in various fields, said: "Despite reaching outstanding agreements in the previous summit, we need to take more effective measures to implement the agreements."

"It is hoped that holding this meeting will lead to a significant leap in Tehran-Dushanbe relations in all areas," said Daler Juma, Tajikistan's Minister of and Water Resources and Tajik chairman of the commission.
