Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Minister of Information of Syria and the head of the Cinema Foundation, and the Secretary General of the Iranian Resistance Film Festival met and discussed joint film productions.

Iran PressIran news: Syria's Assistant Minister of Information met with Mohammed Hosseini, the head of the Resistance Film Foundation, Jalal Ghafari, the Secretary General of the Resistance Film Festival, and a number of Iranian directors and producers.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation in the field of cinema, documentaries, short films, serials, and dramas that reflect the common issues of the two countries.

According to the Iran Press news agency, Mohammed Hosseini, Iran's head of the Resistance Film Foundation, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation between Iranian and Syrian cultural institutions that work in the field of joint cinema and drama production, called on Syrian artists to participate in the Resistance Film Festival that will be held next year in Tehran.

Also, Probable areas of cooperation in film production were discussed, and several proposals were presented in this field to be implemented as soon as possible.

Hosseini further emphasized the terrorist war in this country and said: "The aim of this war was to erase the identity and destroy the Syrian civilization."

 Ahmed Dhawa added: "The film industry plays a major role in conveying the real picture of what is happening in Syria and the various consequences of the actions of the West against the Syrian people. The Syrian media delegation also visited the Cinema town of Iran, where many Iranian films and series have been filmed and produced, as well as the Documentary Research Center."
