Iran Press/ Iran News: Director-General of Transit, Logistics, and Agreements of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran, Khosrow Sarai, said: "The agreement to launch a regular shipping line between the ports of Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran and Venice in Italy has been signed between the parties."
Sarai added: "On September 29, 2019, in Tehran, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran, the Chabahar Free Zone Organization, and the Venice Cluster Maritime Association in the framework of international cooperation and development of port commercial activities.
According to Sarai, both sides will also try to use the facilities available in their ports to achieve the highest level of logistics, transportation, and maritime trade cooperation based on the items in the memorandum.
Khosrow Sarai also said that the two sides agreed to carry out the necessary studies and preliminary studies to establish a regular shipping line between Chabahar and Venice's ports in the near future.
The Director-General of Transit, Logistics, and Agreements of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran stressed that based on the available capabilities and facilities, the parties agreed to hold meetings on the transfer of experience and technical knowledge and also to visit the logistics centers of both ports.
