Tehran (IP) - Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan and Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian in a phone call on Sunday agreed to meet in the coming days and discussed topics of interest to Iran and Saudi Arabia in addition to discussing the upcoming steps in light of the recent trilateral agreement.

Iran PressIran News: Saudi and Iranian foreign ministers have agreed earlier to hold bilateral talks during the holy month of Ramadan.

This was the third telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia after the recent agreement between the two countries' security officials in Beijing and the agreement to restore bilateral diplomatic relations and reopen the two embassies and consulates of Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Amir-Abdullahian and Faisal bin Farhan had agreed to meet each other in the month of Ramadan in the second phone call.

In the conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia also agreed to meet each other in the coming days.

During the negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Beijing, the two countries agreed on Friday, March 10, to resume diplomatic relations after 7 years.

According to the agreement between the two countries, the foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia will meet each other for a maximum of two months to pave the way for the exchange of ambassadors and the reopening of embassies, as well as other requirements for the resumption of relations.
