IP - Iran men’s volleyball team has once again emerged victorious in the Asian Games, securing their third consecutive gold medal.

Iran PressAsia: The team showcased their dominance by defeating hosts China with a score of 3-1 (19-25, 25-14, 25-22, 26-24) at the Linping Sports Centre Gymnasium.

This victory marks Iran's first gold medal in the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou. Before they triumphed over China, Iran had already achieved impressive victories against Nepal (3-0), Bahrain (3-1), Thailand (3-0), and Qatar (3-0). Meanwhile, Japan secured the bronze medal by defeating Qatar with a score of 3-1 earlier in the day.

The 2022 Asian Games boasts an impressive participation of over 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, surpassing even the Olympics in terms of participants. Iran has proudly sent a total of 289 male and female athletes to compete across 34 different sports events at this prestigious event.
