Tehran (IP)- The Petroleum Ministry and Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) today, April 22, to enhance collaboration across various areas, with a focus on technology.

Iran Press/Iran news: The agreement outlines joint efforts in advancing the Islamic establishment's overarching policies, bolstering the resilience of the economy, addressing shared needs, and enhancing the nation's technological capabilities.

The comprehensive 10-article memorandum encompasses initiatives such as joint research endeavors and the application of innovative nuclear technologies, including the utilization of radiation in the oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors, along with streamlining service and product provision.

Representing their respective organizations, Mohammad Ghannadi Maraghe, AEOI's deputy for strategic planning and supervision, and Vahidreza Zeidifar, the Petroleum Ministry's deputy Minister for Engineering and Research, signed the document. Additionally, both parties agreed to establish a strategic committee comprising representatives from both sides to facilitate the swift implementation of the MOU's provisions and undertake necessary measures to enforce the agreement. 204
