Kish (IP) - Iran and Qatar are cooperating so that the Iranian islands of Qeshm and Kish could host the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup spectators. To do so, all amenities, including hotels and tourist accommodation, as well as marine facilities in Hormozgan province will be provided to passengers during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and even a sea lane from Iran to Qatar will be established.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Akbar Safaei, CEO of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), recently told Iran Press in Bandar Abbas that the focus of Iran's support for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar is Kish island, which has excellent facilities.

One of the naval facilities of Iran on Kish island of Hormozgan province is the passenger and tourist ship called "Sunny" and this ship is ready to serve the passengers of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with acceptable capacities.

Some port and maritime officials of Hormozgan province on Saturday visited the passenger ship "Sunny" in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and Qatar to provide maritime tourism services during the 2022 World Cup on Kish island.

The Sunny is one of the largest passenger ships in the West Asian region, 176 meters long and 23 meters wide. This ship has the ability to sail in the safest conditions in the oceans without any restrictions.

The passenger and tourist ship "Sunny" has a total of about 420 beds and can carry a total of 400 passengers and crew. Sunny passenger and tourist ship also has various facilities including a 300-seat restaurant, cinema, gym, computer games, shop and advanced medical clinic.

The distance from Kish Island in Hormozgan province to Qatar is 270 km, which takes about 40 minutes by air from this beautiful Iranian island to Doha, the capital of Qatar, and five to six hours by sea
