The 40th edition of the national Quran competition and the 8th edition of the student Quran competition of the Islamic world with the motto "One book, one nation, the book of resistance" with the presence of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament, and a group of national officials and managers of Quranic affairs in the summit hall in Tehran kicked off.
The 40th edition of the national Qur'an competitions will be held in two categories, women and men, in the age group above eighteen years old, in the fields of research, reading, recitation of the Qur'an and memorization of the entire Qur'an for men, and recitation of the recitation and memorization of the entire Qur'an for women.
The participating countries in this tournament are the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Lebanon, India, the Netherlands, Germany, America, Tunisia, Russia, Ivory Coast, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Senegal, Syria, Iraq, Canada, Palestine, Philippines, Jordan, Pakistan, Comoros, Burundi, Libya, Afghanistan, Niger, Somalia, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Mauritania, Thailand, Tajikistan, England, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uganda, Oman, Brunei, Gambia and New Zealand.
