During his trip to Doha, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran met with his Qatari counterpart and Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha.

Iran's Acting Foreign Minister, while positively evaluating the trend of bilateral relations in various political and economic fields and regional cooperation, praised the effective role of Martyred Raisi and Martyred Amir Abdollahian in establishing long-term and stable relations between the two countries, adding: "The situation of the region and the interests of the regional states require using all capacities to stop the genocide in Gaza and support the oppressed people of Gaza."

Emphasizing the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in strengthening relations with its neighbors, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: "Today, the neighborhood policy of Martyred Raisi's government has become the common thread of all parties that seek security and sustainable development, so without a doubt, this strategic priority of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue without interruption."

In this meeting, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, while expressing his condolences to the government and people of Iran for the loss of the President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, called their roles in advancing the relations between the two countries and supporting the Palestinian nation as privileged. He expressed hope that the Iranian nation will continue its progress in all fields with more strength and that bilateral relations will be improved more than ever.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with the head of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, said: "It is necessary to employ all capacities to make Zionists pay a huge price for their aggression and crimes against Gaza, and the resistance should not be limited to internal armed resistance against the occupiers."

The struggle against the Israeli occupiers should not be confined to armed resistance alone, he stressed, urging that legal resistance, political resistance, and resistance in the public diplomacy sphere outside Palestine must be exercised in tandem with the armed resistance inside the occupied territories to safeguard the rights of Palestinians.

For his part, Haniyeh expressed gratitude to Iran for supporting the Palestinian nation.

He noted that the Palestinian people continue to withstand the Israeli onslaught vigorously despite the Zionist regime’s brutal and genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Highlighting the Israeli regime’s dire political situation and its deteriorating regional and international position, the Hamas chief said the global uprising against the Zionist criminals, such as the anti-Israeli protests in the West and the US, as well as the Resistance Front’s upheavals on the ground in Lebanon and Yemen, indicate the “regional nations’ strategic maturity” and the fact that it is impossible to return to the era before the Al-Aqsa Storm operation. 219
