Iran Press/ Iran news: Martyr Mahmoud Amanollahi was born in 1960 in the city of Bijar, Kurdistan Province. In 1977, he entered the Army Officers University. After graduation, he was sent to the operational areas of Abadan and Khorramshahr and was captured by the Iraqi army on October 14, 1980. After 244 days of captivity due to the severity of his injuries, he arrived at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran on June 17, 1981, as an incurable war wounded.
Finally, this honorable martyr was martyred due to severe brain injuries during the holy defense, on June 8, 1994, in the Army's Family Hospital.
In a ceremony held on Wednesday night by the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the birthday anniversary of Martyr Mahmoud Amanollahi and in his honor, the Commander of the Army said: "People like Martyr Amanollahi are a proof for us in this world and the hereafter to know how to live."
Amir Mousavi went on to express some memories of this great martyr and said that the life of Mahmoud Amanollahi was all about implementing the teachings of the Qur'an and religion, which is a great lesson for us.
In this ceremony, which was also attended by the family of Martyr Amanollahi and a group of his comrades, the protome of this martyr was unveiled, and it was decided to transfer to Sanandaj for installation.
At the written request of the representative of the people of Miandoab and Takab in the Parliament and the Commander of the Takab Corps from the AJA commanders regarding the urgent need for their existence (Martyr Amanollahi was assigned mission in the Islamic Revolution Guards from April 12, 1982, to October 13, 1982.
Thanks to the courage and jihadi management in the crucial scenes and moments of the victory of the revolution and holy defense and self-sacrifice in the promotion of a proud Islamic Iran, a badge of devotion to the martyr of the Islamic Army; Mahmoud Amanollahi, who stubbornly stands at the forefront of defending the independence, territorial integrity and sacred system of the Islamic Republic, was awarded.
