Russia (IP) - Iran's Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs and Trade says the Russian Gazprom Neft company is developing a plan to expand six oil fields and two gas fields in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Heading a delegation, Iran's Minister of Oil Javad Owji traveled to Moscow to participate in the Caspian Sea Economic Forum and met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and suggested that the two sides develop a roadmap for bilateral cooperation.

The deputy oil minister Ahmad Assadzadeh said: "The development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea, the establishment of transportation corridors and energy connections between the littoral states and the formation of the Caspian Joint Investment Fund to develop energy projects were of the proposals presented in this meeting."

He reported a specialized conference for the business people and private companies of Iran and Russia in the oil industry to be held in the near future.

The second Caspian Economic Forum was held in Moscow on Wednesday and Thursday (October 5th and 6th) in the presence of Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the prime ministers of the four coastal states of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
