Ambassador:
Iran, Russia negotiate to produce COVID-19 vaccine jointly

Moscow (IP) - Iran's ambassador to Russia said that the necessary talks were held with the Russians for joint production of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Jalali also said an ACTOVER pharmaceutical company had the necessary standards to produce Sputnik-V.

Kazem Jalali noted that the vaccine is 98 percent effective against COVID-19.

He said that the 60 million dose contract had been signed between Iran and Russia.

Jalali stressed that the Sputnik-V vaccine is well received in Iran, though there are limitations in the world.

Referring to Iran's efforts to combat COVID-19, he expressed hope that the process of receiving vaccines from Russia would be accelerated.
