Iran Press/Asia: "Iran's efforts to combat COVID-19 have been approved by the World Health Organization and we hope to see the disease overcome soon," Mohammad Keshavarz-Zadeh said in response to Shen Haixiong's message.
Iran's ambassador to Beijing also reiterated that US unilateral and inhumane sanctions are a major obstacle for Iran's efforts to combat the spread of the virus.
Mohammad Keshavarz-Zadeh also praised China's success in controlling the disease, adding that: "China's successful experiences in controlling the virus can be a role model for other countries as well."
The coronavirus, COVID-19 infection disease, which has spread to more than 109 countries and territories, was first detected late last year in Wuhan and surrounding the Hubei province of China.
According to the latest statistics, more than 352,000 people worldwide have been infected with the coronavirus, of which 15,300 have died and over 100,000 have recovered.
