Tehran (IP) – Iran's First Vice President stressed Iran and Qatar's interests in facilitating economic, commercial, and banking relations.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's First Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber, and the Qatari Minister of Labor Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, sat down in Tehran on Monday, stating that the two countries' leaders always emphasize the increase of trade and communications between Tehran and Doha in all fields.

As with the obstruction of economic barriers, Mokhber further emphasized the Tehran-Doha autonomous banking system dealing with monetary issues without the need for foreign currencies and the third-party country.

In this meeting, Iran's Mokhber stressed the need to make the ground for economic activities, calling for the facilitation of financial mechanisms for economic activists and the private sector as the main factors of development.

Elsewhere, he referred to the cooperation record of the two countries in the field of gas, calling for turning the two countries into regional gas and energy hubs.

Bin Samikh, for his part, appreciated Iran's position in international summits, stating: "Qatar will never forget the positions of Iran in hard times."

Stressing that Iran-Qatar exchange levels are far from what is expected, Qatar's Minister of Labor added: "The meetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Emir of Qatar prove the two sides' development of relations, and coordination in business and investment is in their intersts."
