Caracas (IP) - Iran has participated in the Caracas International Bookfair that is underway in the Venezuelan capital city with the participation of 27 publishers.

Iran Press/America: As one of the significant events in Venezuela, the book fair is underway in the Caracas National Art Gallery where Iran has two booths for presenting Iranian-Islamic art and culture. 

Paying attention to book-reading culture and disseminating the culture in Venezuelan society, which is facing economic challenges due to the US sanctions, has always been considered an important issue.

Also, Iran holds every year an international book fair the 35th edition of which was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.

Venezuela, officially the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a country on the northern coast of South America, consisting of a continental landmass and many islands and islets in the Caribbean Sea.

The country is a multicultural land, a melting pot made up of three main groups: The Indigenous Venezuelans, the Africans, and the Spanish.
